I'm back!

A day late and a dollar short. My personal life is very hectic and blogger doesn't let me pre-load a post so...

I'm heading to Monterey, California, in a couple weeks. I love the small city. If you hike along the waterfront, you'll come to this set of worn stairs descending into the water - nothing else, just the stairs and the clear blue sea.
I know many people go to Monterey for the upscale activities. I like the place for its schlock - its authentic Fisherman's Wharf, the vendors hawking samples of smoked salmon and clam chowder - and yeah, there is one place that does have the best! The silly souvenir shops...but mostly I love the walk along the water's edge. You'll see harbor seals looking like big white slugs, California sea lions, sea otters, starfish and anemones, kelp swaying in the surf, jelly fish - The Monterey Bay Aquarium. All good stuff. Can't wait to get back there.
