This is me on the hill know locally
as Jalapeno Grande, or as my husband and I refer to it, Hell Hill.

It doesn't look steep, I know, but man, it is! The last half-mile of the trail is one of the steepest climbs in the area. On this day - yesterday - my husband caught me looking at a golden eagle, but by the time he brought the camera back down, a flock of woodpeckers had driven it off.
This hill is the biggest butt-burner around! Plus the 360' vies from the top are magnificent. Mt. St. Helena on the north end, Mt. Diablo on the southeast, and Mt. Tam to the southwest.
So if you ever come visit, you can hike with me. I hike the trail everyday, rain or shine. So far I've hauled one other author and a photographer to the top.

Someday I'd love to try, but Michigan is a long way away. You look to be in great shape and I'm sure this hill is why. I have a hill in the back with a good view, while just as steep (nearly 45 degree angle) I'm sure it's not as long or has as gorgeous views as your 'hill.'
Butt burner, huh? I'll be right over. grin.
Rhobin, yup, long ways away, but...maybe someday!
Yeah, Sandra, major butt burner!
