Maybe it's the Season...

Have you noticed how difficult it has been to get things done? Simple things like the wash or grocery lists, they seem like the worse of the worse chores to do. And laundry, GRRRR, you have to hate it!
Why just the other day I couldn't even read the paper. I keep wondering what I did to receive such a naughty spell. It has to be magic, I have exhausted all other normal reasons for this behavior. And no, I am not on strike and I would never impede progress like this on my own. I did see...don't you dare tell anyone what I say here...I saw these strange little beings. They looked very industrious, carried around a huge assortment of tools. I can hear you laughing...maybe I was dreaming, I admit to being overtired. That's right you go on and laugh, but be careful, those pointy ear busy-bodies might visit you too.
I do recall that this malady struck me in the past. Why yes, and about the same time last year. Hmm, I don't recall finding a reason for my procrastination in the past. I do remember searching for it, but to no avail.
I guess I could be lazy and yet, I have been doing so many things.
"What things?" you ask.
Well, I have made lists. Like the list of ingredients I need to make fudge. There is the heavy cream, bags of sugar, brown sugar, corn syrup and vanilla, cherries, raisins, and nuts. The marble needs to be cleaned to work the fudge on and there are the special spatulas and thermometer, pans and pots...and I'm exhausted just thinking about it!
See what I mean. The whole thought of making the fudge wears me out!
"Why make it?"
Oh, yes, a simple answer--don't do it! Do be serious, there is a good reason to make it...if I could just remember what that is...sigh, it must be the season!

I hope your Holiday Season is going better than mine, but don't be too hard on yourself if you can't get those pages written or edited. The holidays are one of the worse times of the year to get any serious writing done. Personally, instead of facing all the frustration I set my writing activities aside and enjoy the season.

I think you're wise to set writing aside for now, lowers the frustration level.
If you find any energy pills, please ship some to me too:)
