Is your muse missing? When did it leave? Did it run away, screaming that it couldn't take it any more? What can you do to get it back?
You could fret over the missing muse, even search for it under the furniture, in the closets or out in the yard. But, when a muse decides to hide it holds the blue ribbon in hide 'n seek.
We might be able to out-smart it. Trick it into returning. You could try leaving out a bowl of its favorite treat. Or, take a ride out in the country and hope it peeks out and joins you. The one that might work is ignoring it. Yes, turn a blind eye to the missing muse, pretend you don't care and heavens don't sit in front of the screen and pretend you can carry on without it.
Sigh, but our mischievous muse is not easy to trick. And as many attempts as you can think of it still remains hidden.
If you find a way to tempt the muse back to your side please share the secret.
Jewel, who may send up flares!

Mostly, it's called BICHOK. First you check to make sure it's not a medication/health issue (that's happened to me twice). Then you sit and write, even if it's nothing more than letters to your parents, sibs or children. Write a grocery list. Write a blog. Write a short story.
In the process, you frequently find your rhythm and beat.
If all else fails, take a nap.
Love Anny's response:)
Is your muse giving you fits, Jewel?
I'll let you know how mine is doing in a few weeks. I've found lots of things I needed to do besides start a new story.....
I can find my muse, but she is terribly confused! She keeps changing her mind! Actually, I do have a medical excuse, but it occurred to me that there is nothing wrong with my right arm, I could resort to the old fashioned way of writing, with pencil and paper. Now there's a thought!
I do love to write with pencil and paper, sigh.
My muse is disturbed by the author bashing that is
prevalent on the the net right now.
Tears my muse to shreds.
So, I'm taking action, I refuse to look at any reviews.
Jewel's injured muse is sulking!
