A Time to Re-energize -- Vonnie Davis

I'm writing this a few days early. When you read my post, Calvin and I will be in Texas at The Wild Rose Press's annual writers' retreat. This year it's held at the Silver Spur Ranch. Two of my books are set in Texas, but I've never been to the Lone Star State before. So, I am really, really looking forward to the trip.

Calvin's not looking forward to going through airport security or folding himself into an airline seat. They weren't made for men six-foot-two. With all the hoopla on the news about airplane seats coming loose and shifting, he wants to know if his seat accidently slides into first class, does he owe the airline more money?

I'm looking forward to creative time with other writers. I need a break from my routine to re-energize. Of course, my head will be on a swivvel, taking in all the sights and goings-on at a ranch -- for future story reference. Even so, writing workshops, speaks on social media, panels on craft issues should put me in a productive frame of mind. Sometimes you have to go away to find yourself.

Have a wonderful time Vonnie! And if your seat should slide into First class, I would think they would owe you money!
