Discovering Something New in an Unexpected Way

Applewood Bed and Breakfast MMSikes
One good thing about being an author and an artist is you often stumble upon unexpected opportunities. Earlier this month, I participated in the Williamsburg Artist Crawl and was assigned to show my paintings at the Applewood Bed and Breakfast. Although I drive up and down Richmond Road at least two days a week, I had never realized the charming brick house along the way was a bed and breakfast.

Denise was charming, and I discovered the Bed and Breakfast would be a delightful place to stay while visiting Williamsburg. It's a short walking distance to the College of William and Mary and an easy stroll to Duke of Gloucester Street and the Colonial Area. During the Art Crawl, two bed and breakfast guests from Australia came in and provided additional color for the event. To make things more interesting, a parade of Clydesdale horses passed by right at the end of the Applewood walkway.

What fun to get introduced to Applewood Bed and Breakfast while showing art work. I added it to small destinations for journeys of the Passenger to Paradise.

I wanted to attend the Art Crawl so badly Monti, but I had to work. I hope you did well, and wasn't it neat to see the Clydesdale's? It was the 40th anniversary of their having been a part of the community. I wanted to see that too!!!! And the bed and breakfast is a well guarded secret! There are many around here!

I learned a lot from the Art Crawl and I really enjoyed meeting a fellow artist, Bob Oller. The Clydesdale are beautiful, and it was fun to see the Dalmatian!

That sounded like a great time. I need to go out and about and learn more things like this and enjoy the world around me, rather than just write about it. :-)
